Kelly Ayotte: A 7th straight poll showed the Republican U.S. Senate candidate beating Democrat Paul Hodes in a head to head match-up and the Union Leader headline declaring Ayotte is the only Republican who is beating Hodes is the exact storyline she is trying to push.
Bob Bestani: Bestani faces a.) a bad economy b.) a well known primary opponent with establishment support and c.) another highly credible primary challenger looming yet Bestani exceeded expectations for another fund-raising quarter.
Dave Boutin: He didn’t just win Tuesday’s State Senate primary against Terry Pfaff he won by a 2 to 1 margin.
Jim Splaine: The Portsmouth Democrat got a bill passed in the House that will strengthen the state’s ability to continue our first-in-the-nation presidential primary.

Jim Forsythe: The Republican State Senate candidate in District 4 officially has a tough primary challenger in Laconia’s George Hurt. It is unclear where the battle lines will be drawn.
Gov. John Lynch: Lynch has been getting pounded in the press with the LLC tax and health care (admittedly the Union Leader, but still a front page editorial this week) and a new Rasmussen Reports poll shows Lynch with a dropping job approval rating.
Peter Hildreth: The sense in Concord is that things are about to get even worse for the state’s Banking Commissioner over the alleged ponzi scheme in Meredith. The matter is now in the hands of the state Attorney General.
New Hampshire politics in general: Frank Guinta to Jim Bender to Anne McLane Kuster are all in Massachusetts campaigning for the U.S. Senate race. Heck Bill Binnie is buying more ad time on Boston TV for Scott Brown than he is for himself in New Hampshire.
