Pinard will not run for re-election

by James Pindell

A five-term incumbent and the only independent on the Manchester Aldermanic board told the Union Leader this morning he will not run for re-election this year so he can spend more time with his ailing wife.

“As much as I like being an alderman, as much as people of the ward want me to run, and business people want me to run again, family comes first,” Real Pinard told the Union Leader’s Scott Brooks.

Among those mention who could replace him are former school board member John Gatsas, New Hampshire Young Democrats Chair Garth Corriveau, Manchester Republican Committee Chair Will Infantine and former Alderman Paul Porter, a registered independent.
