Press Release: In reaction to the unveiling of the House Health Care program Congressional Candidate Bob Bestani had the following response.
“The proposed $894 health care program offered up by Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Carol Shea Porter is yet another example of Congress shamefully offering up empty promises to buy votes.
Reform in our medical delivery system is sorely needed. But this proposal does nothing to address the underlying problem and will spike up costs to the majority of Americans. Equally as bad, the current proposal will add to the exploding national deficit and will further endanger our economy.
The underlying causes of the inflated health costs in America are clear. They include the run away litigation costs, the treatment of symptoms as opposed to wellness, and the lack of incentives to people to live healthy lifestyles. None of these issues were addressed.”
